 Open to children 9 – 15 years of age. Classes run for two weeks, either morning or afternoon. See schedule below. A Family Day will be held on the last Saturday of each session. On Family Day, you are invited to enjoy a picnic lunch, compliments of the SYC, and sail with your child to see all that your child has learned.

Beginners Class — Students are taught the fundamental principles of safe sailing. Written and practical tests must be passed in order to move to the next level. Each class is limited to 18. This program meets five days a week for 2 weeks.

Intermediate / Advanced Class — Students who have completed the Beginners class or who can demonstrate basic sailing skills are encouraged to improve their skills. The curriculum will be tailored to accommodate both the recent Beginner’s graduate and the more advanced sailor. This class may/should be taken multiple times. This program meets five days a week for 2 weeks.

Advanced / 420 Sailing — This class will focus mainly on racing skills and is for sailors who are at least 12 years old and have completed at least two years of Intermediate/Advanced sailing OR who can demonstrate advanced sailing skills. Applicants need Sailing Program Director’s approval. Class is limited to 10. This program meets five days a week for 2 weeks.
